The things you use every day with a small child, in one app.
No account, no sign-up, and nothing that leaves your phone. Kodomo is for parents who, at four in the morning, do not want to fight with an app.
Everything is stored on your phone. There is no server, there
are no accounts, and there is no analytics or advertising. Nobody β us included
β can see what you write down. If you want to move it to a new phone or hand it
to whoever else looks after your child, you do it with a file that you send.
What it looks like
What it includes
- Baby log Feeds, nappies and sleep in a couple of taps. Breastfeeds can be timed, and the summary covers a week, a month or a year.
- Growth Weight, height and head size with their curve. No percentiles: those are a clinical figure and this app does not calculate them.
- Sleep sounds Ten sounds and lullabies, with volume and a sleep timer. They keep playing with the screen off.
- Colour clock A countdown you can see rather than read: the circle empties out. For anyone who cannot tell the time yet.
- Noise meter A traffic light showing how loud the room is. It records nothing: it only measures the level.
- Learning games Numbers, colours and letters, with a voice. The alphabet comes from the phone's language.
- And to play Charades, memory and noughts and crosses.
How it is built
Kodomo works offline. Your data lives in a database inside the phone and does not move from there unless you export a file. It is available in Spanish and English, and follows the language your phone is set to.
What Kodomo is not
It is not a medical tool. It is for writing things down and remembering them, not for deciding. It does not interpret a weight or a height: the charts draw what you type, and whether something is on track is for your paediatrician to say.
